Watch and Learn

Young cheetah closely watching their mother as she silently stalks her prey before accelerating to a top speed of nearly 70mph to try to trip the antelope with her dew claw to be able to bring it down to clamp her jaws round the animal's neck.
These are vital hunting lessons that must be learnt by the cubs to survive before they reach adulthood.
The cheetah has evolved to be the fasts land mammal, but this has come at a cost as it cannot defend its kill to larger predators like lion and hyena and cannot carry it up into the trees for safety like leopard.
