Clan Queen, Spotted Hyena ~ Total sale will be donated to TUSK

100% of the sale price of this original watercolour will be donated to TUSK's conservation work.
Very unusual to see Spotted Hyena out in the open, but seemed she needed to rest because of the heat. The flies were becoming a pest so she quivered her limbs and flicked her tail to be rid of them even attempting to catch the biting flies in her mouth.
On the night drives these scavengers/hunters spread themselves out, working individually to search out a potential meal to allow the troop to cover more ground, but when a clan member found prey either dead or alive it would gather the other clan members by using whooping calls which became laughing calls as the excitement grew to acquiring food.
